Game 3 Recap: Rebels 11 @ Broncos 60
It was back to winning ways for the Broncos tonight in the pouring rain as Jacob Palmarin rumbled over, around and through the Westshore defense for five scores of his own.
Steve Schuweiler continued his hot start to the season with majors to Yachison and Bernier before making way for Whitelaw who had one of his own to Romanovitch, and engineered a long scoring drive, capped off with a Bobby Fries plunge for his first touchdown of the season.
The defense held firm against the new passing attack from the Island, limiting the Westshore offense to just 4 points before a late score when the game was out of reach. Zach Bosch put on a display in the rain with two field flipping interceptions and LB Mike Ochoa snagged a juggling pick to set the tempo early in the game.
A solid effort from the home team in this one, taking it 60-11, and a road trip to Nanaimo next up on the schedule.
